Remarks at 1 PM

Join Bolinas Museum for the opening reception of Paul Harris: The Boy Sews Like An Angel, a retrospective celebrating the life and work of artist and longtime Bolinas resident Paul Harris (1925–2018).

Spanning six decades, the exhibition brings together artworks and archival materials that trace Harris’s expansive, interdisciplinary practice. Working across fabric, bronze, papier-mâché, wood, drawing, and painting, Harris transformed everyday materials into playful, mysterious, and surreal works that reflect his technical ingenuity, idiosyncratic humor, and singular vision.

Organized with the Paul Harris Estate in celebration of the artist’s centennial, the exhibition honors an artist whose creative life was deeply rooted in Bolinas, where his home and studio became a place for experimentation, discovery, and the transformation of the ordinary into the unexpected.

Remarks will begin at 1 PM. All are welcome.
