On Sunday, September 21 at 5:30PM, join us for the closing celebration of our current exhibitions Hold Fast and From Below at an event centering around water and embodiment featuring Hold Fast exhibiting artist Aubrey Trinnaman and aerial performer Shannon Gray, who will be collectively exploring sentience, the ocean, and the origins of their respective creative practices. Following a live aerial water performance by Shannon in the museum courtyard, the artists will host an open conversation where attendees will be invited to share stories, reflections, or poems about sentience within the sea while sipping sea provided by Kate Sylvan and listening to whale songs recorded by Katy Payne. Bring a blanket and get cozy! Free and open to all.
