Lloyd Kahn: Driftwood Shelters

Bolinas resident Lloyd Kahn has been documenting alternative shelters around the globe for over forty years. Founding editor-in-chief of Shelter Publications, Inc. and former Shelter editor of the Whole Earth Catalog, Kahn is also an author, photographer, and pioneer of the green building and green architecture movements. Selected from Kahn’s rich archive, this exhibition features photographs of imaginative, functional, and otherworldly driftwood shelters constructed along the California coastline from Marin County to Humbolt County.
