Terry Bell: Unbound Art

Terry Bell was trained as an artist in the 60’s at Drake University in Iowa. As a technical illustrator, he has provided many botanical line drawings of exquisite quality for publication. Settling in Bolinas in the 70’s, he has been following a very quirky path since then, creating work mixed in media, theme and character. Although typically small in size, the art is nevertheless very engaging, filled with puns, expertly crafted, as well as charming and refreshingly unpretentious. Each piece evokes a tiny universe with an infinite space within as if one is exploring the porous boundary between dream and awakening.
