An international filmmaker and farmer, Ole Schell has established a monarch butterfly sanctuary on his family land in Bolinas. Coinciding with the museum’s exhibition, Ole Schell: The Magic of Creating a Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, Schell and collaborators Mia Monroe, a national park ranger and Xerces Society Volunteer, and Audrey Fusco, a restoration ecologist, and Elizabeth Weber, a documentary photographer whose work in on view in the Photography Gallery, will share the biology, botany, and creativity of bringing this project to fruition. Come and learn what you can do in your own garden to support monarch butterflies.
