Returning Gold to the Sun: New Work by Charlie Callahan

Bolinas artist Charlie Callahan is driven by his love for the sea and the immensity of life that depends on it. This exhibition features a selection of the artist’s creative practice inspired by the effect of global warming and human consumption. Amoung the works featured are a new sea urchin wall mandala and sound installation inspired by recent challenges faced by walruses due to melting of the polar ice caps and a new video installation documenting a performance staged at the edge of the Bolinas Lagoon that alludes the overuse of fossil fuels and the interconnectedness of all life.
