The Lookout Society acknowledges Director Dolores Richards for developing the museum into what we enjoy today and recognizes our members and friends who demonstrate their deep commitment to the museum’s future by including the museum in their estate plans. These individuals play a crucial role in building a solid foundation for the museum and its continued growth and success through their vision and generosity.
We invite you to become a member of the Lookout Society simply by letting us know that you have included the museum in your estate plan. No minimum amount is necessary, and disclosure of the gift amount is not required. Lookout Society members are acknowledged, with their permission, in the Main Gallery and museum publications.

Donate to the Collections
In keeping with our mission, we collect, preserve, and exhibit the art and history of coastal Marin and are always happy to consider gifts of high-quality artworks by coastal Marin artists and relevant local historical artifacts. Donations are reviewed for relevancy to our mission as well as the condition and long-term care needs by our Curator and the Collection Committee. Works of art and significant historical objects are presented to the Board of Directors for a final vote.
Have something to offer for future generations to enjoy? Please begin by calling or emailing Elia Haworth, Curator of Coastal Marin Art & History, elia@bolinasmuseum.org. When emailing, please include “Potential Donation to the Collections” in the subject line and share the critical information you may know, such as the name of the artist (if applicable), the subject or relevancy of the object, the year, media, and provenance, and any other important information we should know along with a photo. (Please note, unannounced drop-offs are discouraged and may not be accepted.)
