Rick Chapman’s photographs are bold and sensual, whether portraits of famous athletes or images that transform the found circles and spheres of mundane objects into mysteries and textures that invite contemplation.
Chapman’s photographs are held in such collections as the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Chapman served as the Curator of Photography at Bolinas Museum for several years.
