Bay Area Funk artist Peter Voulkos, most famously known for his abstract expressionist clay sculpture, was a longtime friend of Ruth Braunstein who influenced his move towards ceramics from monumental outdoor sculpture. This 1970s lithograph is a playful sketch of his most iconic forms – stacked jars and tall vessels with chimney-like tops.
