Photographer Gertrude Southworth left an invaluable legacy to Bolinas through her photographs. Gertrude Southworth only appears in five of them. Here she is digging clams with her husband Dr. Stephen Southworth not far from their Bolinas home in the area of Brighton Beach now called “The Patch”, short for the clam patch.
